Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting. So... get on your way. Today is a good day to have a purpose, to show learners that vision is more than mere sight, to prepare them for a world yet to be created, to aid them in finding their own path, to support them in making sense of the changing world around them, to teach them how to learn – what they want to learn, to help them mediate meaning from their collaborations, to encourage them to address problem solving with fortitude, to simply - make a difference in someone’s life. Today, I am a public school teacher and a leader for my students and a staff development trainer for teachers and administrators who wish to learn more. Today, I am also an instructional designer who has moved beyond the comfort of the whiteboard. I learned and plied my new art and craft with peers who worked in training and related industries, and honed my new perspective and skill set from professors who are leaders in their fields. For the past four years, I executed my plan of continuing education by acquiring a Masters in Education in the field of Educational Technology at San Diego State University. From my studies, projects, and collaborations, I am now an accomplished student, teacher, and designer of learning. Today, I know that there is more to learn about learners and learning. Welcome and please peruse this my Educational Technology ePortfolio. Constructive criticism is always welcome. Embedded within the reflections and work related artifacts, I hoped to have clarified my knowledge and understanding of how to bring life to instruction, to utilize valuable research, and to apply sound principles to help all learners make sense and add meaning to their learning experiences. Today is a good day to offer a helping hand. |
